But his most remembered at-bat comes in the 8th, when he hits Rip Sewell’s celebrated ‘Blooper Pitch’ into the bullpen with two on to drive in three more runs! With a walk and four hits (two homers) and 5 RBI’s in five trips, Ted leads the American League to the most lopsided victory in the All-Star series! ![]() In the fourth, Ted smashes a Kirby Higbe pitch out of the park to push the lead to 3-0.
